We provide many tools at no charge to our residents to ensure that they are getting the best care possible.
Some examples –
-
Resident Call System Pendants – even though our ratio of staff to residents is so small and our staff is regularly checking on each resident, our residents still have the capability of pressing a button on their personalized pendant to call for assistance.
-
Safety Alarms and Motion Detectors – if our residents are a fall risk we have safety alarms that we can use on their wheelchair, bed or recliner that alerts the staff that they are trying to get up.
-
Alarms on all exterior doors – this alerts the staff that a door has opened.
-
Positioning wedges and pillows – some of our residents require repositioning every two hours to prevent any kind of skin break down.
-
Plak-Vac Suction Toothbrush – some elderly have difficulty with oral care and this is a system put in place to ensure we still can offer them simple
and effective oral hygiene.
-
Dining tools – we offer larger handle utensils and divided plates that make mealtime easier for some of our residents.
-
Music & Memory iPods – all of our residents have personalized iPods downloaded with music and/or books to their personal taste. It is proven that music is a wonderful benefit to those that have suffered from a stroke, have chronic pain, cognitive decline, depression, etc.
-
Wet wipe warmers used for personal hygiene keeping our residents comfort in mind.
-
Cameras throughout the main living areas but also a personal camera monitors to closely watch a resident if needed
